The best place to get information, and he was sitting at it, the bar of O'Reily's a scotch in hand a a look as if he weren't listening to anyone. He looked around the bar for a moment and he longed for company wondering where Jade was right about now, he knew Ryder had said something about sending her his way to keep an eye on him. He took a long drink of his scotch and ruffled his hair before having the bartender refill his cup. He could hear one of the obnoxious Brooklyn girls rambling on over by the pool table, he knew this girl to be Baby without even looking at her, the Birdie Second.

She was mouthing off to a boy who had apparrently commented on her ass and she was in his face. Shadow glanced over his shoulder at the scene and chuckled, he knew all too well about every single newsie in this pub and some of the information he knew was useful to Ryder he knew. He took another drink and sighed wondering when Jade would show up, he kinda missed her.

This guy wasn't giving up was he? Talk, talk, talk with no recollection to her sales pitch. He was being drunk and suborn as she sat across from him at dinner. Jade had listened to this guy git gab for about an hour. He'd better be paying for this hour of her precious time Jade smiled to herself as she sipped on some expensive wine. It was only a process she thought as she smiled at his unfunny jokes and cruel humor. To be honest she was getting a little annoyed. She wanted to go to O' Reily's Pub and see Shadow.

As she downed the rest of her glass she went and sat beside the man, he seemed to be good and drunk by this point. "Please sir, I's an oriental girl New York isn't a place for me, I just need money to take a train to the west coast where my family is." Jade said as she faked a couple tears. She picked up her napkin as the man pulled out his wallet and pulled out a knot of bills. She smiled through her tears as he handed her some bills off the top. She watched him put it back in his suit jacket as she dried her tears. "Thank you sir. If I's hurry now I's can catch the last train." The man agreed as she hugged him walking out the high end restaurant. she smiled as she walked through The Bronx. Jade took a cut and pulled out his wallet removing the money and tossing the junk.

As she walked her long black curly hair blew in the wind as her blue feather bounced. She was wearing a blue corset and a black mini skirt that hugged her curves so nicely. She smiled as she made it to O' Rieley's. Jade put on some red lipstick as she walked in the bar spotting Shadow. She walked over her black high heels clicking on the wood floors as she turned heads walking up to him putting her hands around his neck hugging him. "I've missed you Mistah." She said as she kissed his cheek and moved beside his bar stool. She got on the one next to him as she crossed her legs and smiled at him. "Gunna ordah me a drink handsome?" She asked as she bit her bottom lip curling her hair with one finger.

Shadow felt delicate arms around him and he smiled at her soothing voice. When she sat down beside him and asked about a drink he waved the bartender over and ordered her a whiskey and he turned to face her fully as he downed the rest of his drink and the bartender slid Jade her drink and refilled his own. Shadow ruffled his hair and took a long drink before looking her up and down in happiness that she had arrived finally. He took the glass away from his lips and set it on the bar surface, his hand still holding it though,"Of course I's missed ya... ya look beautiful and of course, drink all ya want on meh, a pretteh lady should neveh hafta buy her own drinks," he said as he took one of her hands and brought it to his lips placing a kiss to it before slowly letting go of it. He looked around the room again and then back to her,"So's how was yer day Jade? And is there anythin else I's can do fer ya gorgeous?" he asked as he allowed his eyes to meet hers and a smile to cross his lips as he rubbed the back of his neck abit out of nervous habit.

Jade eyed the bar tender as said quickly Gin and Juice. She did have a little bit of a wild side on gin, yet she was already a little bussed from the wine she had earlier. She watched as she drink was slid to her and she took a sip listening to Shadow's compliment she ate it up. Oh how she loved to be called pretty. Jade watched him get all nervous and put his arm up. "Relax cutie, don't be so tight It's just meh aftah all I's don't bite...unless you want me to." Jade winked as she spoke. Jade was thinking of how she wanted to answer his question. "My day you ask, I's had to travel all day with this drunk hoity toity, we had dinner and then I's blessed him with a pitch like and he swung." Jade shrugged her shoulder cocky as she smiled taking another sip of her drink.

Jade smiled as she thought of Shadow offering her anything he could do. What could he do take her home, cuddle get romantic, oh there were so many ways to answer that question but she couldn't ask for all that. "You's can grace a goil like meh with your company and if I's can't walk home carry meh." She giggled as she drank the rest of her drink in one sip ordering another of the same drink.

Shadow listened to her speak of her day and he chuckled abit, he knew how she worked and he admired her work technique and ethic. He downed the rest of his drink, ordering another one as he listened to her answer his latter question now. He grinned and nodded ruffling his hair again,"I's can definately piggy backs ya home if I's hafta and take care of ya's," he said with a cute charming smile before he hopped off the barstool and left his glass on the bar counter as he offerred his hand to her,"Would ya like ta play some pool?" he asked her as he looked toward the pool tables, he knew they could hustle up some cash from these newsies, they were nothing compared to this dynamic duo. He reached over grabbing his glass with his free hand downing the rest before setting the now empty glass on the bar,"I's mellow out abit after a few more drinks...I's can't help but beh nervous round such a pretty goil like you Jade," he said before leading her toward the pool tables.

A smile appeared across her lips as she stood up adjusting her skirt. Jade reached for her drink downing it as she wrinkled her nose and bit her bottom lip. She ordered another for the table as she carried it balancing herself and the drink on her heels. "I's know you'll calm down honey." Jade walked over to the table and looked at Shadow with a smile. She looked at the sticks and pulled how a napkin from her purse and whipped down the stick before she did the same and handed him one. Jade walked picking up the blue chalk cube she chocked the end of her stick as she looked around. She looked at the Brooklyn girls and then to a boy they knew as Q Ball. He was a gambler for pool, Jade wasn't too sure if it was smart to go against someone of such accuracy but she looked at Shadow. " Just pick some of these Newsies that think they gots what it takes to place bets."

He took the pool stick from Jade thankfully as he glanced around the room for a moment, he knew exactly who he could pick on who wasn't all too great with pool even though she spoke like she was. He walked over to the brunette girl and tapped her shoulder as she turned to face him, beer in her hand, unamused gaze in her eyes,"Would ya like ta play a game of pool wit meh and my lass? yer buddy hereh can play too," he asked. The girl handed her beer to her friend who set it on the table and she crossed her arms looking between himself and Jade before she chuckled,"Alright den... bets are high in dese parts tink ya can handle pool wit Brooklyn kids?" Baby mused as she took the hand of the boy who was with her and led him over to the pool table with her handing him a stick. Shadow chuckled not even answering her dumb question as he walked back over to Jade and he gestured to Baby and her friend,"You break it," he said as he watched Baby line up the cue ball and hit it breaking the balls all over the table and none went into a pocket. He looked to Jade,"Pretteh ladies first," he said gesturing her to the table.

Jade took a piece of gum from her pocket and squinted her eyes as she chewed. She watched the balls scatter all over the table as she thought of the girls question? Could they handle it? Jade looked at the table as she circled watching the balls like a hock as she lined up the Que-ball with the four ball and took the shot smiling as she looked over to shadow cocky. "Solids, I's look horrible in stripes." She said referring to Baby and how she just got out of the refuge as she sized up the girl and walked over to her drink taking a sip watching as she made the last ball in the corner right pocket, Shadow had a free turn to try to get a solid in. "You's kill em cutie." She said with competition in her voice. Jade watched him walk and bit her bottom lip a little, that boy sure did have a nice ass she thought as she took another sip of her drink wondering about these Newsies. Bids are high. What did that mean to a Newsie after all they didn't carry bills or alot of them Jade giggled as she looked over her sapphire ring that sat so beautifully on her dainty little finger. Her eyes slimmed Shadow making sure he was a right as she leaned against the wall holding her stick.

Shadow smirked abit at Jade's words and then chuckled and when she spoke to him about it being his turn he circled the table once before stopping infront of the cue ball and he lined up the poolstick with a perfect shot as he pulled his elbow back and hit the cue ball sending it right into one of the stripe balls that knocked their solid ball into the middle pocket. He smirked and waved the waitress over for another drink and rounded the table again in thought before he looked to Jade,"Ya shoot it," he said as he leaned his back against the wall and folded his arms over his chest taking his whiskey from the waitress and taking a long drink from it, noting the look in Baby's eyes, the other two had no choice of even getting a first turn,he chuckled.
