Another day, another chunk of change and another round of gossip streaming through boroughs. Same shit different day as Ace always wanted to put it. She was halfway through selling her papes as her stomach began to rumble and by the look of the sun in the sky, it was about lunch time. She rolled up the remaining few papes in her hand before she shoved them into the back pocket of her black slacks and adjusted her newsie cap on her head. She grinned and toyed with the pink candystick in her mouth as she headed down the street and smiled when she approached Tibby's. She had made enough change so far to afford lunch and still have enough for papes tomorrow too so even if she didn't sell the rest she would be ok.
She walked into the restaraunt as she chewed up the last piece of her candystick and waved to the servers before she made her way to the back booth by one of the windows. She pulled the rolled up papes out of her back pocket and set them down on the table as she slid into the booth and removed her hat. She ran her fingers through her hair and leaned back in her seat as she smiled at the waitress and ordered a coke and a sandwich. She sighed to herself as the waitress walked away, the Christmas party had gone decently, but she still hadn't met many people of interest, she actually had spent a majority of her time in conversation with Sinner due to Jack's absence lately... She wondered where he was now a days, he had told his lodge house that he had to go take care of some business and he didn't know when he would return, but he did promise he would return and he had left her and Cowgirl in charge until that time came along.
She looked down into her coke glass when the waitress brought it to her and she tilted her head but looked up when she heard the familiar voice,"Why so down huh? I mean I undastand I aint round no more, but don't mean ya gotta pout bout it Ace," Sinner stood at her table now, his usual cocky grin on his face as he eyed her for a moment. She shrugged and looked at him with a half smile,"At least I know where to find you though... Jack on the other hand took off for business and I have no clue where he is or when he'll even be back... but don't trouble yerself wit my problems Sinneh ya got yer own," she told him. He nodded a bit and ruffled his hair before he eyed her papes and grinned,"Well yer right bout dat, but I'll at least take those papes off yer hands, hows about... hmmm 4 dollahs sound?" he asked as he set a few dollar bills infront of her. She looked up at him with bright eyes and smiled.
"Thanks Sinneh...I apprecciate it," she said as she handed him her papes and he nodded,"Jus do meh a favor and smile alright, and I'll see ya around," he told her as he ruffled her hair playfully before leaving the restaraunt. She looked up when the waitress brought her sandwich and she smiled abit and put the 4 dollars in her pocket, she wished he had stayed to keep her company... but she knew he had better things to do.
