I'd Write A Symphony(CHIP)

[Dazzle]

It had been quite a long day for Dazzle, she had sold all her papes a few hours ago and rushed to Irving Hall to do her night shift. She now walked around the performance hall, the black and red saloon dress hugging her curves just right and the red feather lightly bouncing in her hair as she walked around the aisles of chairs and the tables. She collected empty glasses from audience members and she listened to the performers on stage as she smiled. She loved being at Irving Hall, the atmosphere made her feel at home. She took her tray of empty glasses back to the bar to Sinner and smiled as she slid into one of the barstools and watched him clean them out.

"Well aren't you jus' one of the busiest newsies I eveh seen," Sinner commented eyeing her and chuckling. Dazzle smiled and leaned her elbows on the countertop surface as she shrugged,"I spose so... ya seem impressed or somethin," she teased. Sinner just shook his head and slid her a shirley templed with a smile,"Sometimes yes, others not so much, but ya do good fer yer age," he told her. She looked down at the drink and sighed,"C'mon Sinneh gimme a scotch on da rocks not dis goily crap," she complained. He looked at her and forced a hand through his har,"After yer off work ya got scotch, ya know the rules," he told her recieving a tongue stick out from her as she took her Shirley Temple and hopped off the barstool heading over to one of the side tables and sitting down taking a drink as she watched the show for now.

[Chip]

"And there they were, the most fierce pirates in the whole world, on their dark cherry wood ship was a flag with a huge skull and cross bones and on there look-out post a man, shirtless with an eye patch and and a kaleidoscope. And of all that was scariest was the captain of the ship Black beard Joe, and his sidekick john smith. From the main land you could see the ship as it took it's captive chew mates and sailed off into the fog!

The little kids screamed as they gathered around Chip shivering, some laughing and a couple boys playing with sticks pretending to sword fight. Chip watched as his last paper was bought and a little girl was carried off. Chip looked to the clock tower it was getting late he looked at the little kids gathered around. "Lad and Lass I'll have to give ye the rest of the story tomorrow." Chip said collecting his earning as he made his way to Irving Hall. On his way the looked at the sky it was a nice night the stars seemed to sparkle with tiny stars. Chip smiled as he walked to the front of Irving Hall he looked at the head line and thought about it for a second before he walked in. He looked at the refreshment stand as he picked some popcorn and walked into the show.

Chip crept over to the bar as he looked to Sinner dropping a coin on the table and whispering "I'll have a beer." Chip spoke quite not to disturb the show as Sinner gave his a mug of beer. He made his way to a seat looking around as he smiled taking a sip as he watched the show wide eyed with a beer foam mustache on his face.

[Dazzle]

Dazzle finished off her shirley temple and sighed as she now needed to go get another one. She got up from her seat and squeezed passed a few people, she stumbled over a pair of feet and dropped her glass square into someone's lap, luckily it was empty. She looked down at the boy who's lap it had fallen into and she bit her bottom lip and smiled when she saw it was Chip,"I'm sorreh Chip...good thing it was an empty glass right?" she said as her eyes sparkled abit in the dim light and she scrunched her nose with her words. She gently grabbed the glass from his lap and glanced over at the bar, it wasn't going anywhere. She sat down in the seat beside Chip and crossed her legs as she set the empty glass down on the floor by her feet, she'd pick it up later after all that was half her job."Enjoying the show?" she whispered to him as she looked at him and tilted her head, she would leave if she were bothering him, but it wasn't often she saw many Brooklyn kids in here since it was so out of the way of the usual spots the Brooklyn kids hung out at, but she did know Chip was no normal Brooklyn newsie.

[Chip]

The show was going amazing Chip hated when people would walk in front of him when he was being entertained. "Sir get outah my way don't you have manners? Or I gottah teach you some?" Chip said his London accent broken a tiny bit with a New york one as he pushed a teen age boy out of his way. He then took another sip of beer and then he suddenly felt something fall into his lap. When he looked down at the cup he looked up at see Dazzle, her hand had already retrieved the empty glass he blushed a little as he smiled at her comment. "Yea is that how you get all your dates Dazz, you drop toss empty cup at em?" Chip giggled a little as she took a seat looking over to the guy that tripped her. "You should watch where beautiful girls are walking, your lucky she's okay." Chip said looking back to Dazzle as she spoke he nodded as he looked back to the show then to her taking another sip of beer. "Of course I'm enjoying it lots of interruptions but never the less enjoyable, and now I have company!" Chip said as he put his arm around her hugging her close to him. Chip rarely drank the littlest amount of liquor was enough for a buzz. "Dazz am I talking too much?" He asked finishing off the mug of beer raising his eyebrow with his foam mustache over his upper lip.

[Dazzle]

She smiled at his words and when he put his arm around her, she leaned against him and rested her head on his shoulder,"Yeah ya's betteh be glad I'm ok ya dingbat I's coulda hoit my pretteh lil ankles and ya's woulda paid," she said glaring at the man for a moment before looking up at Chip. She giggled abit seeing his foam mustache and she brought her thumb to his upper lip and brushed the foam off, licking her thumb when she was done."Dates?Is that what dis has turned into?" she asked with a cute smile as she dropped her hand onto his knee comfortably and glanced toward the stage,"No ya aint talkin too much, am I's talkin too much?" she asked him with a scrunch of her nose and a giggle,"I's surprised ta see ya round hereh, I mean not exactly fully surprised I's know ya like dis stuff, it just surprises meh when I see Brooks hereh outta nowhere," she said looking from the stage up to catch his eyes.

[Chip]

Her hand was now on his knee as he looked at it a little taking a gump. Chip looked over to her on his shoulder gave her a cocky little smile and answered "A date? With a woman no way your lucky your not a woman Dazz." Chip said as he looked back to the show watching a Medda dance as she sung a soft melody. Then he looked back to Dazzle. "No your not talking too much I like talking to you." Chip smile and shrugged into his shoulder a little as the people behind him kicked their chairs and shushed them. "Can't you see I'm talking to the beautiful girl you shush yourself, or I'll make ye." Chip said with a sudden gesture at the guy and then turned to back to Dazzle holding her close rubbing her arm. "I Don't think they like us, this is probably why not a lot of Brooks show up." Chip giggled as he traced over her arm with his fingertips.

He stood up moving being down between her legs. "I'm going to get another beer I'll get you one too save my seat." Chip moved quickly hunched over trying not to disturb the show as he walked to Sinner at the bar. "Sinner I need two beers hold the foam, It's embarrassing me." Chip said putting coins down on the table as he walked back to Dazzle getting in his seat handing her a beer and took a sip of his own. He knew she was working but if she drank it she might not care, it would mellow the night a little he thought with a smile as he took another gump and looked to her. "Miss me?" He teased as he put her arm around her shoulder offering her, her spot again.

[Dazzle]

She smiled as he got up to go get them drinks and she adjusted comfortably before he got back. She took her beer greatfully and took a big gulp of it as she nestled back against him and put her head back on his shoulder,"I's aint no woman not fer quite some time not dat I eveh wanna be... I wanna be my young self foreveh but dat aint gonna happen unfortunately.." she muttered before taking another long gulp. She looked up at him and batted her eyelashes abit before she slid her free hand into his that was on her shoulder and she intertwined her fingers with his. She felt comfortable with him, like she could be herself and he wouldn't care. She bit her bottom lip as she met his eyes with her own and she tilted her head abit,"Of course I missed ya too... its just heart wrenchin when ya aint at my side," she teased abit as she stuck her tongue out at him playfully before putting it back in her mouth and scrunching her nose again,"Yer gonna stay hereh til its all oveh right? Maybeh we can walk back home togedda afteh I's clean up?" she suggested.

[Chip]

The words circled his mind as he listened to her get his hopes up and crushed them. "Are you crazy we can stay young for ever, we just have to believe it and never let them tell us we can grow up..you do want to be young right? You can be and I can tell you stories and when you get bored listening to me ramble Ye can tell me stories." He said looking at her then he watched a little of the show feeling her hand intertwined with his own as she smiled looking down blushing then to her. "I'll help ya clean and we can walk home together maybe hold hands." Chip nodded and smiled slickly as he thought about cleaning, it was so boring how to spice it up. "We can sword fight with the mops and brooms to make it fun as we clean too!" He said excited as his blue eyes sparkled. He thought of the stars. "We can try to convince Sinner of a few more drinks and I can take you to a spot on the Brooklyn Bridge that has the best view of the stars." Chip smiled puffing his chest out a little cocky as he offered to show her his secret star spot.

[Dazzle]

She smiled at the thought of going and watching the stars with him, she was so caught up in his words that she hadn't even noticed the music cut, and the people beginning to trickle their way out of the theater. She looked into his eyes for a moment before she did noticed and she looked around the room at the emptiness. She reluctantly stood up,pulling herself from his embrace as she looked down at him,"I guess we do talk too much...so much we missed the show," she said chuckling abit as she walked over to the bar and Sinner handed her the brooms. She looked over to Chip and made sure he was paying attention before she tossed one to him,"Ready Captain?" she asked with a giggle as she began to sweep around the tables and when she got over to him she lifted her broom abit and posed,"I say sir ye be on my ship what be the purpose?" she said getting into pirate character as she eyed him and awaited a reaction. She could hear Sinner chuckling behind them but she didn't care, she had an imagination and no one was going to bring her down.

[Chip]

The people pushed their way out of the theater and he smiled and her comment. "That we must." He said standing up helping her to her feet as they walked over to the bar when she tossed him a broom he started to sweep a pile of candy and popcorn along with dirt together. He smiled as she made her way over to him with her proposal. "Yer crazy matie, I am taking over this ship with or with yerr permission." He said as he held the small broom like a sword and screamed a little as he lunged into her sword running around playing with her as the two tapped the swords together making noise As the theater filled with water around a solid boat in his eyes and they danced with swords on the main deck, the winds blowing and the clouds moving away from the starry night sky. "Arrr yee can't make it out of this one alive, Give in and I shall spare yee."

[Dazzle]

She chuckled and sword fought with him and shook her head at his words,"Neveh ye shall surrender and I shall spare thee," she said lunging toward him in play attack with the broom. They fought their brooms hitting against each other for awhile until she dropped hers and looked to him before he could react, she ran forward and tackled him to the ground playfully. She looked down at him beneath her, her curls toppled all in her face as she smiled and blushed a littled,"I's believe a truce is in ordeh Captain Chip," she said with a grin and wrinkle of her nose. Sinner picked up the two brooms off the floor and looked to the pair,"I'll finish off here Dazz ya get yerself and Chip back ta Brooklyn," he said chuckling. Dazzle glanced up at Sinner,"Dats Captain Dazzle ta ya you's swashbuckler," she said giggling.

[Chip]

Now he was looking up at the night sky and everything around him faded away and there way Dazzle on top of him and the stars turned into balcony seating and a fancy ceiling. "A truce?" Chipped rolled her over so she was on the bottom now looking up. "A truce, only cause yerr Dazzle." Chip said with a lisp as he leaned in rubbing his nose with hers giving her Eskimo kisses. Then hopped to his feet helping her up as well. Chip nodded at Sinner as he stumbled a little. "Come on Sinner one more drink for us before he venture all the way back to Brooklyn." Chip said as he out emphasis on the word all. Sitting on the bar stool waiting for Dazzle to accompany him and always waiting for Sinners response.

[Dazzle]

Dazzle was helped to her feet, her cheeks a rosy pink color at this point and she followed Chip over to the bar when Sinner gave a nod to the two. She tilted her head and watche as Sinner didn't grab two glasses but handed them a bottle of scotch, her favorite and he knew it,"Take dis, go watch da stars and get outta hereh," he said. Dazzle smiled and kissed Sinner on the cheek as she took the bottle and took Chip by the hand before leading him out of the theater and onto the street light lit city. She walked beside him her fingers intertwined with his as she looked at him,"So's ya wanna show meh dis spot on da Bridge and we's can open dis up and drink togedda and watch da stars?"

When Sinner gave her the bottle Chip put his hand on his forehead and saluted Sinner and he was lead out by Dazzle. Chip walked beside her as he put his arm around her looking up. "You see that little consolation over there?" He asked pointing then looked to her and smiled. "Well were going to see those close up, but I do believe thy eyes can take away the stars shining." Chip said smiling cute as he pulled her a little closer as they made it to the bridge and continued to walk across. Wow this was amazing she had the same mind set as him, she was so fun to play with and she was pretty and she was untested in what he wanted to show her, Chip thought as a light pink color came to his cheeks as they finally reached the Opposite side of the Brooklyn Bridge.

There was an abandoned apartment complex as Chip walked her hand in hand over to it fire escape as he took her land leading her to the top. There were many floors but they were worth walking. When they got to the top he walked over to a old couch and a small table. Chip smiled and looked at the view which seemed so much closer now and the moon was full and yellow the night sky was so beautiful, but it couldn't hold a candle to Dazzle. "Dazzle sit we can cuddle and have a drink and I can admire the stars through your eyes as you enjoy the view." Chip said with a bit of a lisp and a cocky smile as he patted the spot beside him.

[Dazzle]

She followed him across the bridge and to an abandoned building she had always deep down been too scared to go near, but with him she followed him up the floors until they reached the rooftop. She smiled and blushed at his words as she sat beside him and opened the bottle of scotch. She propped her feet up on the little table and leaned back against the couch as she took a long drink of the scotch before handing him the bottle as she looked up at the night sky, the stars were so beautiful. She smiled big as her eyes lit up and sparkled as she watched the stars for a moment before looking into Chip's eyes,"Watch da stars in me eyes? I's thought you's was gonna point out constallations to meh?" she said giving him a tilt of her head as she batted her eyelashes and bit her bottom lip in the cutest manner as she reached for his hand again and took one of his hands in both of hers, holding it tight as she leaned against him and shivered just slightly at the light breeze that blew across her skin.
