AISLA 'FIGHTER' MALLORY

Name: Aisla Mallory
Nickname:Fighter/Fight
Age:16
Gender:Female
Orientation:Straight
Occupation:Newsie
Borough:Brooklyn
Play By:Couldn't tell you...model I found ages ago and kept the picture.
Fighter stands at 5'8 and she is the type to stand with her back stiff just to give her another inch of height she can use to intimidate those around her. She has black curly hair and deep navy blue eyes. Her face is usually a mask of indifference that sports a smirk and quirked eyebrow. She wears button up shirts and pants most of the time with a hat resting firmly on top of her head. She isn't the type to wear skirts for many reasons, but the main one is that they tend to hinder her ability to run which is never a good thing on the streets.
She has two scars, one going through her top lip and another one that isn't visible on her shoulder. The one on her shoulder is from a bar fight that got out of hand. The man she'd gotten into the fight with didn't appreciate being taken down by a girl and broke a bear bottle before jamming the glass in her shoulder blade. The one on her lip is from when she was young and her uncle was still teaching her how to fight.
Fighter is very stoic in her every day existence. She's been through a lot over the years, like many other street kids, and learned that the best way for her to deal with things was to push them down and pretend nothing was wrong. She became exceptional at it with years of practice and most people have a hard time deciphering exactly what it is that she's feeling. Fighter doesn't have many friends and she prefers it that way. It takes her awhile to trust someone because she's had poor judge of character before and it nearly cost her her life. Although it takes a lot to earn her trust once you do you have it for life along with her loyalty.
Fighter was raised in Brooklyn and she loves it because for her it symbolizes the few stable components of her life. She lost her family and a few of her friends, but she can always count on her favorite bar being open when she needs a drink. Or the docks to be empty at certain times when she needs to be alone. Although Fighter isn't friendly and doesn't pretend to be she can be cordial and if you catch her in a good mood it might even border on friendly.

Fighter was born in Philadelphia to Brogan and Connor Mallory. Her mother died during childbirth though so Fighter never had the opportunity to get to know her. Fighter’s father was a conman wanted by the police and he ended up running off when she six, leaving her in the care of her uncle Shawn Mallory. He took her to Brooklyn to live with him where he earned a living as a prize fighter. He was a firm believer in her knowing how to defend herself so he taught her to fight. Nearly every night they would head to the roof and work on perfecting the moves.
When she was twelve her uncle was stabbed and killed while leaving one of his fights. Shortly after he passed she started living on the streets and spent the next two years earning a living picking pockets and snagging food whenever possible. Then she met Aidan Bourke and fancied herself in love with him, but she didn’t realize exactly how unhinged he was. She was with him for nearly a year before she finally got up the nerve to leave. She ended up leaving the city for a few months. When she got back to New York, she found her to the Brooklyn Lodging House and made it her home.
She's been back for awhile now selling papers, but she's looking for a job that could offer her a bit more money. When she isn't working she spends a lot of her free time at the boxing ring or the pub. She enjoys drinking and fighting and has gotten into more brawls then she cares to remember. Although Fighter acts like she has nothing to weigh on her mind it is far from the truth, but she's locked her history away and she refuses to acknowledge that there might be danger there. No one at the house knows about her past and she would like to keep it that way.
